The Institute Library was established on August 1, 1977 to serve the then Center for Nuclear Studies. Between 1977 and 2013, Library services were housed at A-217 (present day Lyceum). The Library shifted to its purpose-built building in 2013. PIEAS Central Library is a three-storey purpose-built facility with an area of 16,662 square metres. It provides literature rooms, group discussion rooms, video conferencing facilities, and study carrels for academic research and private study.
